SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: November 3, 2005. The Hindsight Institute today announced its first major contribution to the welfare of Planet Earth.
As high density housing was evacuated following the collapse of part of the construction of Sydney's Lane Cove Tunnel, default spokesperson for the Hindsight Institute, Amanda Credaro, was philosophical in attributing blame on shortsightedness in planning, a lack of Needs Analysis, and the omission of the mass media to engage the Institute for an indepth, but very reasonably priced analysis.
As a fully qualified geologist, Credaro said "... it's pretty obvious. You honeycomb the substructure with tunnels, it's going to weaken to the point of collapse." At the time of writing, the United Nations has yet to send any accolates (or cash) for this insightful analysis.
Warrior Librarian establishes Hindsight Institute
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: September 17, 2005. In a time beset by disasters of varying dimensions, the publishers of the world's leading library satirical journal Warrior Librarian have announced a plan to establish The Hindsight Institute.
As a reaction to the apparently increasing reliance on the fanciful and frequently ill-conceived work of futurists, the Hindsight Institute will specialize in analyzing mistakes from various administrative fields such as government and commerce, plus any other areas requiring their assistance.
A.B. Credaro, the founder of Warrior Librarian stated today that the work of Information Specialists was integral to the success of the Institute, as such professionals were highly skilled in identifying issues and formulating strategies to prevent ongoing or further repetition of manifestly flawed policies and practices.
Credaro continued with the statement that although final reports would not include the phrase "I told you so", they would indeed point out those times when warnings had previously been issued by area experts but ignored by those holding positions of power.
Whilst intending to eventually become self-funding, the Hindsight Institute is about to plan the commencement of a future fundraising campaign, with the United Nations high on their list of potential sponsors.
